Investor Sign-up — NYC

In these distributed meetings, founders meet real VCs and discuss their idea in a 20-minute intro session. These meetings are not about getting a fundraising check by the end of your chat - rather it's about convincing them to take another meeting for a deeper dive.

Here's how it works

  • You give us either a two-hour block or a one hour block (or you can sign up for two different one hour blocks) during our Office Hours week. Honestly, we (and the founders) appreciate whatever time you have.
  • We fill it with 20-min intro meetings with relevant founders to introduce the startups they're working on.
  • Meetings can be virtual, at your office, or any space of your choosing.

Here's why you should participate

  • Participating VCs often say the deals are better than they expected, so you never know who you might meet.
  • You're helping the NYC venture community build a reputation of being accessible (rather than a club of "insiders only.")
  • Regardless of whether you're interested in investing, you could be helpful to a founder by guiding them away from pitfalls or suggesting other people to speak to.
  • It's a chance for you to build a relationship for the founder's next idea or for hiring them into your portfolio (because as we all know, these things don't always work out.)

To participate, please let us know the following:

No office-hours events are open for investor sign-ups right now. Please check back soon.

Companies will filter investors based on these tags.

  • If you check off a broader generalist category, you'll appear next other generalist investors.
  • If you check off any of the individual sectors and a generalist category, you'll appear in both.
  • There are also tags for indicating that you only work with certain types of founders (e.g. Female only, Underrepresented founders only.)

Please give any further details that help founders determine whether you're a relevant investor for them. For example, you could share what investment stage is appropriate for you, or if you have revenue requirements. Be as descriptive as possible and feel free to add detail on interest areas above (e.g. you're in FinTech but don't invest in crypto).

When can you host? *

Pick a date and a start time. We'll split your block into 20-minute meetings founders can book. All times are New York time.
